The Hays CISD Performing Arts Center (PAC) is a magnificent facility situated in the center of the school district. With a capacity of almost 1000 people in the auditorium, a cutting-edge sound and video system, and two conference rooms for meetings, the PAC is the ideal stage for a variety of school district and campus events and performances. It is also available for rent to the community and outside organizations. The classes at the Hays CISD Performing Arts Center are taught by world-class faculty, including Dr.
Toler. The classes are held at 979 Kohler's Crossing in Kye, Texas, 78640. The Travis County Sheriff's Office, the Hays County Sheriff's Office, and the Austin, Buda and Kyle police departments have all expressed interest in collaborating with the center. The Hays Arts Council summer art walk is an annual event that kicks off with summer exhibitions featuring the work of David Friday and Diane Lawrence. The art center has also partnered with local artists and restaurants to raise funds for the Hays County Food Bank through an event called “Buy a Bowl, Feed 100 People”.The center is unique in that it offers a comprehensive approach to training, with space for all types of indoor and outdoor drills, classrooms, self-defense practices and driving training.
It also hosts an annual prose poetry contest open to any Ellis County student from kindergarten through 12th grade. This is an excellent opportunity for emerging and established artists to showcase their work in an award-winning gallery devoted to promoting contemporary art. The center will not only help students on the path to criminal justice but also those who begin the ACC emergency management program which will start in the fall.
